Local History Fair
Bexley Heritage Trust and Bexley Local Studies and Archive Centre join with local history groups and enthusiasts at Hall Place to explore this year’s theme of Childhood in Bexley. Includes lectures, free family activities and many local history displays. Refreshments available.

Easter Eggstragavanza
Have lots of fun with the Easter Bunny in the Great Hall and gardens including craft activities, garden trail and the famous egg-Olympics! Tickets on the day.

Museums & Galleries Month
During the opening weekend of Museums & Galleries Month, visitors are invited to discover ‘mystery objects’ from the Bexley Museum Collection. Have a go at writing your own museum labels: where, when, how and why? Guess when objects date from and what they were used for. The objects and labels will then go on display around the house.

Hall Place Joust
For the first time jousters will visit Hall Place for a medieval extravaganza! Jousting will take place throughout the day - it promises to be a real spectacle with their pennants, tents and costumes and their trusty steeds.
There will be a historical parade in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Lady Limerick’s famous pageant held at Hall Place in 1932. Lord Limerick, the Countess of Limerick’s great nephew will present the prizes awarded to the participants. There will also be a whole range of historical stalls demonstrating everything from archery to ironwork and craft activities for all the family!

Family Bat Walk
Back by popular demand! Learn about these fascinating creatures and join a dusk walk in the Hall Place gardens to listen to bats on our special bat detectors. Tea and cake included. Suitable for family groups – all children must be supervised.

Garden Roadshow
Building on the success of last year’s event, this year it is a delight to welcome back to Hall Place in the Great Hall, the Bexley Horticultural Show. Also; put your gardening questions to our team of experts, browse the plants for sale by the many nurseries and specialist growers exhibiting at the show and enjoy the “Flowers at Hall Place” festival around the historic house.
There is a charge to enter the Garden Roadshow, however admission to events in the house (including exhibition activities) are free: donations welcome. Refreshments available.

A chance for everyone to get creative – free drawing, arts and crafts activities in the house and gardens when Hall Place takes part in this national event as part of the Campaign for Learning.
